Lancaster, SC – On Thursday, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dennis Michael Robertson, 45, and charged him with three counts of second degree Burglary.  The arrest comes at the conclusion of an extensive investigation involving the burglary of several local businesses over the last few months.

On the night of September 5, Robertson attempted to force entry into the Crow’s Nest located at 2081 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, S.C.

Earlier this month, on the night of October 17, Robertson broke out the front door of the Elgin Mini Mart located at 2561 Kershaw Camden Hwy, Lancaster, SC and stole the cash register from the store.

On October 23,  Robertson broke out the front door of the Pleasant Hill Mini Mart located at 4494 Kershaw Camden Hwy, Heath Springs, SC and stole the cash drawers from the store.

Robertson was jailed on 10/25/2012 at the Lancaster County Detention Center.  His bond has been denied.

Sheriff Faile said, “This is just another example of how repeat offenders continue to be a problem.  Robertson was just released from the South Carolina Department of Corrections on August 1st where he served roughly 3 years on a 6 year sentence for burglary.  It’s frustrating for us because we keep having to arrest the same people over and over.”
