Video Poker Warning
There's a new warning for business owners on an old game of chance.
If you have video poker machines or even old video poker machines claiming to be something else; officers are cracking down. Officers say there are thousands in Mecklenburg County and many of the old machines have been re-purposed and called sweepstakes games. We talked to an undercover ABC officer who says they are giving business owners fair warning. The officer blames the distributors for what he sees as trying to get around the law. Many in the gaming industry say the law and recent court rulings are unclear and the business needs to be regulated and taxed. |
