11-Year-Old Boy Charged With Kidnapping 6-year-oldOTTAWA COUNTY, M.I.-- An 11-year-old Michigan boy allegedly attempted to kidnap a first grader on Wednesday. The stepmother of the 6-year-old says her son was playing in the yard when the older child tricked him into leaving with him. Reports say a school bus driver then spotted the child a few blocks away being led by the collar of his neck. When the mother attempted to take her son back, she says the 11-year-old struggled to pull him away from her. Her son's clothes were torn but he was not injured. The 11-year-old was charged with unlawful imprisonment and assault. He is currently in the custody of a juvenile detention center. |
