All-Star Race Announces A Million Dollar Game ChangerCHARLOTTE, N.C-- Armed guards and a car made of money can only mean one thing... Changes to the All-Star Race. Another year and another new format, but this one comes with higher stakes and should bring higher speed. This year, there will be four 20-lap segments followed by a one 10-lap shootout where drivers will line up by their average finish in the first four segments. If the race winner wins all five segments... they get an extra $1 million dollars. The crew chief of last year's winning team, Chad Knaus, was on hand yesterday at Charlotte Motor Speedway as the changes were announced. The announcement already has him talking strategy.
