Animal Control Looking for Owner of Rescued Dog

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Animal Care and Control is looking for the owners of a dog that was stranded in the mud Saturday.

The dog needed to be rescued from a muddy creek by Charlotte Fire Department.

AC&C says the dog is a female chocolate lab with arthritis. The rescue took place on Wannamaker Lane.

CFD able to safely remove and take the dog to get checked out by a vet.

Melissa Knicely, of Animal Care and Control, says the dog does not have a microchip, tattoo or identification.
