Appeal Denied for Convicted Murderer of 2 CMPD Officers

CHARLOTTE, NC-- The NC Court of Appeals has denied the appeal of Demeatrius Montgomery in the 2007 murder of CMPD officers Jeff Shelton and Sean Clark.

Montgomery was found guilty of the murders in 2010, and later appealed the verdict claiming that he was incompetent and could not stand trial.

The appeal states that both judges in the case agreed Montgomery showed enough competency to stand trial.
