MONROE, N.C.-- Police arrested a man they say robbed a pawn shop and jewelry store.

Durell Stephon Williams, 23, of Charlotte, was arrested Monday night and charged with two counts of felonious larceny.

Police say Williams stole several gold necklaces from Top Dollar Jewelry and Loan on West Roosevelt Boulevard Wednesday after asking to see the jewelry. He fled in a black Mercedes.

Investigators also linked Williams to a robbery that happened early February at the Treasure Chest on Skyway Drive.

Williams is in the Union County Jail under a $20,000 bond.
