Ban Lifted For Woman In CombatCHARLOTTE,NC--Defense secretary Leon Panetta lifted the ban on women being allowed to join the front lines in combat. The ban was lifted Wednesday, and is said to open 230,000 jobs for women in the Army and Marines. Supporters of the lifted ban say the change is long overdue, but critics say when it comes to combat men and women are not created equal. One of the critics was Marine Captain Katie Petronio.
