Beer Lovers Flood North Carolina For Deals

The Tax Foundation, a non-partisan group, says one reason might be the beer excise tax.

Beer excise taxes are cheaper in North Carolina than South Carolina.

North Carolina's tax rate is 53 cents per gallon.

South Carolina's tax rate is 77 cents.

A long line of beer lovers packed the Miller's gas station near the State Line today.

The majority of the customers at the business in North Carolina were from South Carolina.
