Black History Month At Gantt CenterCHARLOTTE,NC--Music and history lessons were going on in uptown Charlotte in honor of black history month. Friday night the Gantt Center celebrated the music of a famous Nigerian musician and composer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, who is credited for pioneering Afrobeat music. The event previewed the new Broadway musical about his life. Panelist also highlighted the musicians human rights work as a political maverick in his later years.
