Boone Bookstore Manager Charged with Embezzling Store FundsBOONE, N.C. -- Boone Police arrested a bookstore manager Thursday for stealing the business funds for his own use. Scott Wheeler was arrested for two counts of Felony Embezzlement. Wheeler, who was a manager of Black Bear Books, is alleged to have used funds belonging to the business for his own personal use. Wheeler was taken before a Watauga County Magistrate who issued a $15,000 secured bond and a court date of February 26. |
