CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- The Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are looking for the third suspect of the year to cut off an electronic monitor.

Anthony McCreary, 23, is wanted on outstanding warrants for possession of a firearm by a felon, assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury, and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.

Police say McCreary was last seen near Kimberly Glenn Lane Monday when he cut the monitor off.

The other two suspects who cut off their monitors this year have been caught. 28 offenders cut their monitors off in 2012, which is less than 2% of the offenders that were monitored.  All 2012 offenders have been apprehended. CMPD is currently monitoring 391 offenders.
