Charlotte Hires Consultant To Decide Airport AuthorityCHARLOTTE,NC--The city of Charlotte says they'll spend $150,000 for a consultant to help decide if an airport authority would be best for Charlotte Douglas. The city hired a consultant that will way the pros and cons of an airport authority, the information is said to be released in July. The bill to create an airport authority passed the Republican led Senate last week and is now being considered by the House.
