Charlotte Man Arrested for Threatening To Kill President

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Tweets about killing the president has one man behind bars. Federal authorities caught site of the conversation after monitoring Donte Jarmar Sims's Twitter page on Monday. On his page, the 21-year-old tweeted "Plotting President Obama's Murder" along with several other messages directed at the President's visit to Charlotte.

Secret Service members found Sims at his home on Wednesday and questioned him about the messages. They say he admitted to the comments made about the President.

He was arrested and taken into custody. Sims was scheduled to appear in court this morning and awaits a hearing on Tuesday.
