Chesterfield County Sheriff ArraignmentCHESTERFIELD COUNTY,SC--A Chesterfield County sheriff accused of inappropriate conduct with inmates will have a bond hearing and arraignment Friday in Columbia. Governor Nikki Haley suspended Sam Parker on Wednesday after a grand jury indicted him earlier this week on six charges. Parker is accused of letting two inmates live outside jail, go shopping and other activities in exchange for working on his house and other personal properties. The ex sheriff is also accused of giving county owned firearms to non law enforcement friends he knew. Parker's attorney says his client didn't act with any criminal intent.
