City of Charlotte Issues More Settlements in Former CMPD Officer's Sexual Assault Case
CHARLOTTE, N.C.--The city of Charlotte issued more settlements in the sexual assault case of former CMPD officer Marcus Jackson.
Jackson served jail time after he pleaded guilty in 2010 to charges that he sexually assaulted and intimidated seven people during traffic stops.
They city has just agreed to pay two of the victims $90,000 each. The city attorney says the city offers an apology and sympathizes with those who have suffered.
The city has already paid several hundred thousand dollars to settle other civil suits involving Jackson.
