Concord Man To Be Remembered at NASCAR Race

CONCORD, N.C. -- A Concord man, who worked for Richard Childress Racing, will be remembered by members of the team at Sunday's race.

Joey Padgett passed away suddenly on April 15, 2013, from a heart attack. Padgett built motors locally, according to his sister, Anita. He was a valve train specialist at ECR Engines.

Richard Childress Racing’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Camping World Truck Series teams will carry decals honoring the memory of Padgett at Kansas Speedway.
