Concord Man To Be Remembered at NASCAR Race
CONCORD, N.C. -- A Concord man, who worked for Richard Childress Racing, will be remembered by members of the team at Sunday's race.
Joey Padgett passed away suddenly on April 15, 2013, from a heart attack. Padgett built motors locally, according to his sister, Anita. He was a valve train specialist at ECR Engines.
Richard Childress Racing’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Camping World Truck Series teams will carry decals honoring the memory of Padgett at Kansas Speedway.
Memorials may be made to Cabarrus Pets Society, P.O. Box 5042, Concord, N.C. 28027. Online condolences may be left at wilkinsonfuneralhome.com.
