Dog Found Tied Up on the Side of the Road in SW CharlotteCHARLOTTE, N.C. - A woman says she found a dog tied up and left on the side of the road. The dog was found just feet from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Control (CMAC) in southwest Charlotte, and a vet that could have saved its life. Starla Renee, the woman who discovered the poodle-like dog on Tuesday, wants answers about why the animal was dumped and why its back feet and mouth were bound. A CMAC veterinarian tells us it appears the underweight dog may have also been hit by a car. The dog's injuries were older and a maggot infestation had set in. Renee says, "(I) saw his little face peer out and he had his little nose tied with a black shoestring and I went on to open it, took the thing off his mouth and he just kinda looked up, he could barely even hold his head up."
