Dolce And Gabbana Convicted And Going To Jail
MILAN,ITALY--The two men behind Italian clothing company Dolce & Gabbana will be spending some time behind bars.
The company's two founders, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, were found guilty Wednesday morning of tax evasion.
The two were convicted in a Milan court after prosecutors say they failed to declare $1.3 billion in income by using a Luxembourg-based company to hide substantial earnings in an effort to avoid paying taxes.
The fashion designers where sentenced to 20 months in jail and have denied the charges.
