Eastland Mall Closer To Becoming Film StudioCHARLOTTE,NC--Charlotte City Council now has three finalist to redevelop the vacant Eastland Mall site. The city council sent invitations to submit full proposals to ARK Ventures, Winter Properties and Studio Charlotte Development. The three developing companies have until May 30th to submit their final proposals. Studio Charlotte Development CEO, Bert Hesse, said "It will literally change that side of town, " Ten years from now if were selected and our studio complex is built here you will not recognize the east side of Charlotte anymore." The team from the city says they will make a recommendation to the council in July.
