CHARLOTTE,NC--The FDA is warning people about Z Pack antibiotics saying they could trigger a potentially deadly irregular heart rhythm for some patients.

Azith Romycin is commonly prescribed to treat bacterial infections such as bronchitis, pneumonia and ear infections and is sold under the name Zithromax, coming in tablet or liquid forms.

Pfizer, who makes the drug says their updating it's warning label.

The FDA says patients who have low levels of potassium or magnesium in their blood are at higher risk as well as people with slow or irregular heartbeats.
