CHARLOTTE, N.C.--There is growing support for the family of a man murdered in Grier Heights.
Twenty-nine-year-old Michael Anthony was shot last Wednesday on Dunn Avenue.
Thursday night his family was overwhelmed by the large number of people who came out for a candlelight vigil.
Some shared memories, others were just showing support. Anthony's sister warned about the pain senseless violence causes.
The man accused of killing Anthony is in custody in South Carolina. A tip helped officers find Gregory Tillery in Greenwood.
There's no word when he will return to Mecklenburg County.
