Fatal Lancaster Co. Fire Being Investigated

KERSHAW, S.C.-- Investigators are working to find the cause of a fire that claimed the life of one man.

According to officials, the fire broke out around 10 a.m. Thursday at a home on Marion Street in Kershaw.

The body of Adam Whitley, 34, was found by emergency crews battling the blaze. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.

There are no signs of foul play at this time. The fire was believed to be caused by an electric heater and multiple extension cords plugged into the same outlet.
