Father Accused of Killing Son Faces Death PenaltyCHARLOTTE,NC--Thursday prosecutors will wrap up their case against a Charlotte man accused of killing his 23-month old son. Andre Hampton's defense admits he beat his son Elijah Burger but say he was a victim of abuse himself. Some jurors were said to have cried after seeing photos of the boys injuries. The judge granted the family's request to remove news cameras from the courtroom. The defense will begin it's case Friday morning, Hampton faces the death penalty if he is convicted. |
