CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Backup cameras will soon be a standard feature on some new vehicles.  The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration made the decision Monday.

New cars under 10,000 pounds must have the cameras by May 1, 2018.  The feds say backup accidents cause more than 200 deaths and 15,000 injuries every year.
