First Snowstorm of the SeasonGRAND FORKS, N.D.-- People in the northern plains and upper Midwest are dealing with the first snowstorm of the season. The snow started falling Wednesday night, causing travel problems and power outages. Parts of North Dakota and Minnesota could see up to a foot of snow. The early snowfall set a record in Billings, Montana, blanketing the town with more than two inches.
