Fort Mill High School Placed On 'Soft Lockdown' Following Facebook Post
FORT MILL, S.C. -- Students were kept inside their Fort Mill high school Friday afternoon because of a threatening Facebook post.
Around 1:12 Friday afternoon, Nations Ford High School was placed on a 'soft lockdown.' This means no one was allowed to exit the school building and no visitors or personnel could enter the building until it was lifted around 2:07 p.m.
The lockdown was put into effect as a precautionary measure when a threat was put against the school in a Facebook post. Fort Mill Police say a former student may be responsible.
Christian Webb, 19, was located at his home by Pineville Police. At this time, he is only being questioned on his involvement. He has not been arrested, pending a meeting with the York County District Attorney, who will decide on a charge.
Parents were notified of the incident by a phone system and email.
