Four Arrested in Connection to Robbery Spree

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police in coordination with the Matthews Police Department arrested four suspects in connection to a string of armed robberies of businesses in Charlotte and Matthews.

In late March, the Kangaroo Express stores on Charlottetowne Avenue and Harris Station, along with the CVS Pharmacy on Matthews Township Parkway were all robbed at gunpoint by several masked men.

Zachary Nathaniel Graves, 23, was arrested at his home Tuesday and charged with three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and three counts of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon for his connection to all three robberies.

Omar Markabi, 17, was arrested Tuesday at his home and charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon for his connection to the three robberies.

Walter Pries, 21, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon for his involvement with the CVS robbery.

Richard Fiske, 21, was also charged in connection to the CVS robbery with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

All suspects were brought to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office.
