LEXINGTON, N.C. (AP) --A 51-year-old North Carolina grandmother says she's upset after her collection of 350 Barbie dolls was taken in a break-in at her late parents' vacant home in Lexington.

Tammy Weaver told The Dispatch of Lexington (http://bit.ly/IS2A0S ) she began the collection in 1980 and planned to pass it on to her granddaughter. Weaver says the fancifully dressed dolls had been kept in closets at the home.

Weaver estimates the value at $5,000. She says some dolls were gifts from family members, while she found others at sales or through internet purchases.

Weaver says a computer monitor and crystal glassware also are missing.

Capt. Mitch Kepley with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office says entry into the home appears to have been through an unlocked door.
