Gunman Opens Fire at Midnight Showing of "The Dark Knight Rises"

AURORA, CO. -  Authorities in Aurora, Colorado reported that at least 12 people have been killed and 71 people have been shot when a lone gunman opened fire in a movie theater.  Witnesses in the theater said that just as the sold-out midnight showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" began a man threw teargas in the theater and then opened fire. 

The gunman, James Holmes, was arrested in the parking lot of the theater.  The police found explosives in the Holmes' apartment after evacuating the apartment complex.  A motive for the shooting is not yet known.

The youngest victim in the shooting is only 3 months old.
