Police Arrest Hit and Run Suspect

CHARLOTTE,NC--Police say they have arrested the man responsible for a hit-and run that left a man and child dead early Saturday morning.

Oscar Garcia-Fuentes has been arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter and three counts of felony hit and run.

A security camera caught Fuentes fleeing the scene on foot shortly after the accident.

The accident occurred around 2am Saturday at the intersection of N. Sharon Amity and Albemarle road.

Authorities say they found Tony Jonquil Gabriel, 26, and a one year old baby dead inside one vehicle, another passenger Brittany Chaquaina Massey was sent to the hospital with non life threatening injuries and was said to be the mother of the child.

The driver of a second vehicle,  a Ford Mustang had fled the scene on foot, according to witnesses he was a Hispanic male in his 20's, approximately 5'-5' and was said to have a medium build.
