Evacuation Lifted After Train Derails in CramertonCRAMERTON, NC -- UPDATE: The evacuation has been lifted for residents of Cramerton. A Norfolk Southern spokesman said the cause of the accident is still under investigation. Of the 121 cars, we are told 19 of them actually derailed. 4 of the 19 cars were carrying propane gas. There was no gas leaks associated with the derailed cars. The train was traveling from Linwood, North Carolina to Macon, Georgia. Firefighters, Emergency Management Services and the Hazmat team were on the scene accessing the damage. No injuries have been reported and there is no word on what caused the train to derail. We'll have more on this breaking news as it becomes available.
