NEW YORK, N.Y.--The aftermath of Hurricane Sandy is showing up in hospitals in the form of a Propofol shortage.

Doctors are having a harder time getting their hands on the drug that's used to sedate patients.

Manufactures say there was already a national shortage but it's grown because Sandy threw off production.

So far Charlotte is in the clear.  CMC says they have a large supply.  The shortage is expected to last through December.
