CHARLOTTE,  N.C. -  Wilson was at McDonald's as soon as the doors opened today to be first in line for a free cup of coffee.  Participating restaurants in the Greater Charlotte area are serving up the cups of coffee to thank their customers and also give them a little something free to help get over the "tax time shock."

But Wilson couldn't just get this free coffee and go, he had to get behind the counter with Ronald McDonald and cause major chaos.  Wilson, you may have worked at McDonald's during "the day," but time to get out from behind their counter!

Free coffee week at participating area McDonald's continues through tax day, April 15th.

Through their operation of more than 300 Ronald McDonald House locations worldwide McDonald's is a large supporter of families who have children suffering with serious illnesses.  Charlotte has been part of the network of Ronald McDonald Houses since May of 2011.  Charlotte's RMH has some fun events coming up this month to help raise funds.  Check out their website below for more information on RMH and the events.
