Jury Finds Man Guilty in Phylicia Barnes Murder Trial
BALTIMORE-- A Baltimore City Jury has found Michael Johnson guilty of second degree murder in the death of North Carolina teen Phylicia Barnes.
The teen disappeared after visiting her sister in Baltimore back in 2010.
Johnson, the former boyfriend of Phylicia's sister has denied his involvement in the murder. Prosecutors say he killed and transported her body in a storage bin.
Her remains were found in the Susquehanna River four months after she vanished.
Family members were seen embracing each other in the hallways outside the courtroom.
Sentencing is set for March 20th.
