Concord, NC- The Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway is NASCAR's annual endurance challenge for man and machine.  The 54th running of this legendary Memorial Day Weekend race will test the performance of the new Gen 6 racecar, the strategy of the crew chiefs, the speed and precision of the pit crews - and the determination of the drivers to take home a victory in one of NASCAR's crown jewels.

On Tuesday, May 7, three-time winner Kasey Kahne, and legendary championship crew chief Ray Evernham offered a unique hands-on look at what it takes to win the Coca-Cola 600.

They also had an actual race-time simulation experience by using a specially prepared race car.

The event showcased three key factors in the race:  the strategy behind the race, how the crew chief, pit crew and driver adapt to the changing conditions from day into night, and the horsepower and engine tuning required to perform for 600 miles.
