Lancaster Man Charged With Cutting His GirlfriendLANCASTER, SC -- Lancaster County Sheriff Deputies have arrested and charged Willie James Stevens with assault and battery high and aggravated following a domestic related assault in Kershaw. On Wednesday, at 8:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Cleveland St. in Kershaw in regards to a fight in progress. Upon arrival a female victim and several witnesses were found on scene. The female victim stated that she told Stevens that she did not wish to continue their relationship. That's when the victim said Mr. Stevens assaulted her and she attempted to run away from him. The female victim stated that Stevens chased her and pulled her to the ground where he then used a knife to cut her face. Deputies say Stevens then fled the scene. They were able to locate and arrest Stevens in a field near Fork Hill Rd. He is being held on a $100,000 surety bond. |
