Littering Warrant Leads To Marijuana Bust In Lincoln County
LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. -- Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies found a marijuana patch while looking for a man on a littering warrant out of Gaston County.
Deputies went looking for the suspect on the 7000 block of Coconut Way in Vale Tuesday around noon but weren't able to find him.
They parked on the street's cul-de-sac to discuss the case when they received a tip that marijuana was being grown behind a nearby outbuilding.
Deputies found two four-feet marijuana plants behind the building at 7189 Coconut Way and more plants in an overgrown area.
The Sheriff's Office Narcotics Investigators seized a total of 57 marijuana plants. They weighted 14-pounds and once fully grown, would have a street value of $50,000.
Eugene Endicott, 53, who lived at the residence on Coconut Way, was charged with trafficking and manufacturing marijuana.
He has not been charged on the littering warrant from Gaston County.
