CHARLOTTE, N.C.--A local pizzeria is helping New York and New Jersey residents struggling in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy one slice at a time.

Lorenzo's Pizzeria in Ballantyne plans to donate 100% of Monday's profits to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

The New York based organization started a special Sandy relief fund.  Customers chose which devastated neighborhood to help.

The restaurant's owners, Steven and Denise Simonelli, are from the New York area and still have family there.
