Police: Man Gets DUI After Driving Into The Ocean

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.-- Police say they arrested a man on Friday after his car ended up in the ocean.

According to reports, Charles Evitt ran a stop sign at an intersection that parallels the coast. His vehicle then struck a fence and went into the ocean. He was not harmed but did end up behind bars.

Evitt was reportedly charged with driving under the influence, driving under suspension and operating an uninsured vehicle. He remains incarcerated at Reuben Long Detention Center under no bond.
