Man Jokingly Takes Pregnancy Test But Finds Out He Has CancerNEW YORK, N.Y.--A man found out he had testicular cancer after jokingly taking a pregnancy test. The man found a pregnancy test that his ex-girlfriend left at his house and decided to take it. The results came back positive saying he was pregnant. It turns out that pregnancy tests measure the levels of beta human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) in urine. That hormone is also associated with testicular cancer in men. The man went to the doctor and found out that he did, in fact, have a tumor on his right testicle. Doctors say a painless lump is usually the first sign of testicular cancer and men should do monthly self-examinations. |
