CHARLOTTE, NC -- Vincent McDougald, 43, pled guilty today to two counts of first-degree sex offense of a child.

McDougald was sentenced to 276-341 months in prison. Upon his release from prison, he will be required to register as a sex offender and participate in satellite-based monitoring for the rest of his life.

In June 2011, a woman contacted the New Hanover Police Department to report that a man she had been chatting with online had told her that he molested a young girl in Charlotte. Police were able to identify the man as McDougald, who lived in Laurinburg, North Carolina. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were then able to identify the victim, who lived in Charlotte with her mother.

The child’s mother, Darlene Enos, was also charged for participating with McDougald in the molestation of her daughter. Enos, who met McDougald online, previously pled guilty to conspiracy to commit first-degree rape and conspiracy to commit first-degree sex offense in connection with the incidents. She will be sentenced at a later date.
