Man on the Edge - Would You Eat Horse Meat?With all the horror stories about horse meat showing up in burgers and other food in the UK, a Philadelphia restaurant owner is going to take advantage of all that free publicity, and start serving up some horse. Actually, it's pretty common to use horse meat for food in places like Italy. And as a point of interest: President Obama actually lifted the ban on preparing horse for food two years ago. So now Peter McAndrews, owner of Iltalian restaurant "Monsu" in Philly, wants to start serving authentic horse meat dishes, instead of the faux horse meat he has been faking with goat meat until now. Of course in here in the US, as in the UK, we tend to frown on consuming horse meat for food. But if you had the option to try a traditional Italian horse-meat dish, would you eat a horse?
