Man on the Edge: City-Wide Reboot. Courtesy, Asteroid. It was nearly 95 years ago that an asteroid blasted through Earth's atmosphere and exploded over Tunguska, Russia, flattening everything within 770 square miles. Amazingly, there's no record of any people being injured, because the location was so remote. But this week, a similar-sized asteroid is hurtling through space, and headed straight for Earth. Now before you start stocking up the bunkers, NASA says this one is going to miss us. But it's going to be close. The latest info says the asteroid will actually pass inside the orbit of some of our satelleites. And since it's roughly the size of a cruise ship, it could do some real damage if it were to manage to actually hit us. So pretending, for a moment, that the asteroid were destined to make rubble of some major city, and assuming--for the sake of argument--that everyone got out safely first, which city would you most like to see wiped out? |
