MAJOR TRAFFIC ALERT: Five People Injured In I-485 WreckCHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Medic and the Charlotte Fire Department are responding to an accident on I-485. A car traveling on the inner loop of I-485 near Providence Road in South Charlotte crashed into the back of a mobile home that was being transported on the interstate. All lanes are blocked at this time. The left lane on the outerloop near exit 57, Providence Road, is also blocked. Five patients needing treatment were transported after being entrapped in the vehicle. Three have injuries described as potentially life threatening and two patients have injuries described as non-life threatening. Patients are being transported to CMC-Main.
