More Than A Dozen People Arrested After 15-Month Prescription Narcotic Investigation in Stanly County | PHOTOS
STANLY COUNTY, N.C. -- Officials arrested 25 people during a 15-month prescription narcotic investigation.
The individuals face a total of 120 charges with additional arrests forthcoming.
The Stanly County Sheriff's Office, Stanly County Drug Task Force, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and Albemarle Police Department initiated the investigation on April 11, 2013.
Nearly $20,000 was used to make the arrests of the suspects who range from age 22 to 66.
Police say the diversion of prescritption narcotics is a major problem in the county.
