Murder Charges for Man Accused of Mobile Home Fire

ALBEMARLE, NC -- There is no bond for a man charged with killing an elderly couple in Albemarle. According to Stanly County Sheriff's Department, Brandon Coggins is charged with two counts of murder. Police say he is accused of setting fire to a mobile home on Smiley Road Friday morning. Firefighters found the bodies of Earnest Hopkins and Thelma Britt inside. Investigators say the couple did not die of natural causes and that the fire was intentional.
