BELMONT, N.C.-- This man wanted us to conceal his identity, "I looked in my rearview mirror and seen the rifle...it was pointed right at me," he said.

The man, who wants to remain anonymous, said Michael Wilson shot at him more than a month ago while he was driving in front of his home on South Point Road in Belmont. But, Wilson denies that. Wilson said he's only used his gun outside his home once, when he saw a snake,"I went after the copperhead and yes, I did get him," said the Belmont resident.

Fox Charlotte first told you last week about Wilson. He uploads videos of drivers he says are tailgating because he's trying to avoid another crash like the one that destroyed his father's truck three years ago.

The concerned resident isn't sympathetic, "I think he's a threat to public safety. I seriously do. I think he is. I seriously think he's gonna  hurt somebody sooner or later. One day it's gonna get out of hand," he said.

The Belmont Police Department has referred us to the Gaston County District Attorney's
Office. So far, They have not yet returned our calls.

"I feel like they should press charges because that's endangering the public," said the anonymous man. As one concerned resident is calling for help, one of Wilson's neighbors says he isn't a problem. "I've never seen him harass anybody,  I've seen him when the police have been over here being nice and polite," said Belmont resident Barbara Morales.

Police sources say law enforcement from as far away as Cleveland County have been warned to on alert for him. Michael Wilson said they have nothing to worry about: "Once a marine, always a marine. They taught me common sense with a gun," he said.
