Cause of Emerald Lake Golf Club Fire Remains UnknownSTALLINGS, NC -- There still is no word on what caused a clubhouse fire in Union County. Investigators say they are unable to determine the exact cause of the Emerald Lake Golf Club fire because the clubhouse was a total loss. It happened on Tournament Drive on July 5, 2012. The cost of damages is estimated at approximately $1.1 million dollars.
