Officials: Rowan County Man Arrested For Trying To Help Terror Group ISIS
ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. -- Officials say a convicted felon who is wanted in Rowan County is the same man who was taken into custody in New York for allegedly trying to help the terror group ISIS.
Donald Ray Morgan was arrested on August 2nd at John F. Kennedy International Airport. Authorities say he was returning to America after staying in Lebanon for eight months.
Officials say Morgan was posting questionable things on social media and they believed he was a threat. A judge ordered Morgan to be held without bail after his arrest in New York.
Morgan is accused of trying to obtain military type weapons and ammunition at his home in Rowan County.
